If you are not excited and thrilled by the dream that you have, you have seriously set them wrong.
Whenever people set their goals, they are mostly of two types:
What they can achieve
What they think they can achieve
However, the problem is, in both the cases, the targets are easily available, and we will achieve it. But, is it the dream that we had while we were young?
“The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short, but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.” – Michelangelo
Dream bigger, bigger till it gives you a thrill. It could be anything, personal or professional. The moment we will have such a bigger dream, there will be new achievements and positive changes which you will notice within yourself and your personality. I have listed some of them below:
The moment You’ll Be Open to Possibilities. As you have not limited your dreams to what you can achieve, you will research, and will be able to discover all the possibilities
The only place where your dream becomes impossible is in your own thinking. – Robert H. Schuller
Following Your Dreams Connects You to Your Inner Self. You will be able to love your own self, which will boost your confidence and self-esteem. The love that you had for yourself, when you were young, will come back, and will make you alive once again because you are following your heart, just the way you used to do, when you were young.
It doesn’t limit you or your life. When you work towards a small target or set up a small bar to achieve, you won’t go above and beyond what is required, that takes away the specialty or the expertise, that we might have in our work. You will start feeling good, and positive about your life, if not completely but it will be noticeable.
We will only grow as big as we dream that’s why we must dream big. – Gabrielle Williams
You begin to effectively manage your time. If you have something bigger to work on, you will discover new techniques to manage your work as soon as possible and put time towards the bigger goal that you have set up in your mind. In the same place, if you didn’t have anything bigger to look upon, you will do the same work without having a higher aim, which will ultimately lead to time waste and dissatisfaction in life.
You begin to seek out inspiration in others who’ve succeeded. You will not need any mentor or any senior to motivate you. You will motivate yourself seeing the people, who already did it big and you can see the stairs to what you have imagined, and always dreamt of. You will start to notice and discover that how the big personalities have started the same you just did, and you are on the same path.
Slowly and steadily, your small achievements stack up, and you will see your dreams are turning into reality. The more time you spend working for your dream, the more you will see that you are achieving it, may be slowly but steadily. You can easily see the milestones getting set one by one. You will start feeling proud about the small achievements taking you towards the bigger goals.
You Find Your Abilities to Deal with Various Challenges. You never knew you were so powerful, and you can deal with so many difficulties so perfectly.
The more you can dream, the more you can do. – Michael Korda
Only dreaming does not do. One needs to work hard towards achieving the dreams, then the real purpose of seeing the dreams will be accomplished. Those who dream big should also plan their course of action to achieve those big dreams. It is very important to plan each and every step-in details (Planning everything is not possible, but we should try for the most of it). While these are the positive changes are very nice to hear, but let’s not forget the fact that a lot of hard work is required for the same. Lot of sacrifices and lot of hard work is needed to be successful, and especially when you are working for something really that big.
Remember the famous quote by William Arthur Ward
If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it.
Some of the dreams, which our writers and readers have:
Moumita: My biggest dream is to relax in my partner’s arms holding a wine in my hand with no thoughts no tensions. I might sound non-ambitious or weird, but I want to live the moment where I can relax
Pratiksha: My biggest dream is to be self-dependent enough to own a Mercedes Benz top model
Riya: wanted to be an astronaut.
Concluding the post, never ever limit your dreams. You never know, what capabilities you have. Give it a shot, try with all have you got. Trust me, the fruit will be good.
